TollCheck

See toll cost and time before you drive.
Built for Sydney — suburbs are enough; fix the exact address in Maps when you go.

Enter from and to (suburb or landmark). We ask Google for several realistic routes, estimate tolls from the map, and compare them to a no-toll reference when that exists.

Class B: higher on motorways (M4, M7, NCX, …). Harbour bridge/tunnel: same $ all classes (NSW). Heavy trucks not supported.

About TollCheck

TollCheck is currently in a beta testing phase. We’re open to improvements and suggestions — use Email us in the footer.

TollCheck is for people who care about time vs toll money on Sydney trips — especially when motorways stack fees and you want a clear side‑by‑side toll total before you drive.

We ask Google Directions for several deliberate route shapes (fastest, no‑toll where possible, forced corridors). On top of each path we apply NSW‑based toll figures from our tables, not Google’s toll guess.

The reference row is the fastest trip with $0 toll in our model for that search (Google’s separate “avoid tolls” detour may be slower and appears as an option when it differs). Other rows show minutes and toll dollars; when a tolled option saves time vs that reference, we also show $/minute saved. Petrol and wear aren’t included.

Times use traffic where the API allows; suburbs geocode to representative points — tighten start/end in Maps after you open a row.

The site is free to use; ads and tight server limits help keep it that way. This is a planning aid, not legal or financial advice.

Privacy

What you type. From, to, and vehicle are sent to this server and to Google (Directions / Geocoding) to compute routes. We don’t ask for your name or account.

Trip logging. When results load and when you open a route in Google Maps, we record a small event (places text, vehicle, trip type, counts, and the option you opened). That helps see which corridors matter. Logs live in the host’s log stream; you can optionally forward them with env TOLLCHECK_TRIP_LOG_WEBHOOK to a URL you control (e.g. Zapier → sheet).

Ads. Google AdSense may use cookies as described in Google’s policies.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to see aggregate traffic (e.g. pages, device type, rough location). See Google’s Privacy Policy.
